The Women’s Environmental Institute Amador Hill Farm will provide a FULL SHARE (3/4 bushel) CSA of organically certified fruits and vegetables for 18 weeks. d share with us the harvest, joys, rewards and inherent risks that are all a part of farming. A full share costs $585 to be paid in full by June 13, 2017. Payment plans also available.

TEN-WEEK CSA FLEX BOX: June 16 through October 20. CSA SHARES STILL AVAILABLE.
In 2017, the Women’s Environmental Institute’s Amador Hill Farm will be providing a FLEX BOX (3/4 bushel) CSA share of organically certified fruits and vegetables for 10 weeks during the regular CSA summer/fall season (June 16 through October 20). Instead of providing a weekly half share as we did last year, we will be offering a full share ¾ bushel CSA box on the dates that work the best of you. You will pay for 10 weeks of delivery and service from WEI’s Amador Hill Farm on your ten selected days for delivery. The cost of the 10-week Flex Box is $410..

SPRING GREENS CSA BOX April 28-June 2 SOLD OUT
In 2017, WEI will be providing a Spring Greens Box of delicious and fresh organic produce. This box delivery will start on April 28th and go for six weeks until June 2nd. The Spring Greens box (1/2 bushel) will help you exit the winter months with fresh organic local greens and lots of salad. We will be growing a weekly amount of salad mix or salad greens, along with various provisions, likely to include spinach, kale, chard, pea shoots, bok choy, dandelion greens, arugula, tat soy, mustard greens, water cress and other fresh veggies. Enjoy getting vitamins back into your winter body: think stir fry, variety salads, side dishes of greens, and early June asparagus. Recipes will be included. This option is by popular demand from our 2016 CSA shareholders. The price of this CSA option is $210.
SPECIAL NOVEMBER/DECEMBER BOXES (more information forthcoming)
In 2017 WEI’s Amador Hill Farm will be offering 3 special winter boxes. Two of these will be in November and one in December.
November 1 and 1/9 Bushel Winter Boxes will contain winter vegetables: winter squash, pumpkins, rutabaga, turnips, potatoes, stored onions, carrots, parsnip, cabbage, late season kale, collards, broccoli or greens, and North Circle value-added products. The cost of this box is $50 per box ($84 for two boxes).
December 1 and 1/9 Bushel All Holidays Box will contain some winter vegetables similar to November boxes, winter aquaponic greens, and North Circle Value-Added products. These value- added products may include jams, jellys, apple butter, honey, chutneys, dried herbs and other products produced by the Amador Hill Farm during the 2017 season. The cost of this box is $60. A great gift for anyone and all holidays.

For example, a WEI FULL SHARE provides a three-quarter bushel box of organically certified fruits, vegetables and herbs for 18 weeks to our CSA Shareholders from mid-June to mid-October. CSA shares are delivered to drop site partners located throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area and North Branch locations. Our shareholders pay an annual subscription fee and share with us the harvest, joys, rewards and inherent risks that are all a part of farming.
WEI produce is certified organic by the Midwest Organic Services Association (MOSA) and is Minnesota Grown, we submit to a rigorous third party verification process to ensure that we use no petrochemical insecticides, herbicides, fungicides or GMO/treated seeds. What’s more, by ordering your CSA through WEI, you are not only supporting the farm, you’re helping WEI fulfill its environmental justice and educational mission.
FULL SHARE CSA SNAPSHOT: WEI will be growing over 150 varieties of vegetables, herbs and fruit. We are planning to grow more variety this year as suggested by our 2016 CSA shareholders. Crop varieties will be mixed and scaled down to 8-10 bundles/bunches/bags per box. We will try to balance basic household and well-loved food with a few lesser known fruits or vegetables for culinary exploration and cooking fun. Recipes for quantities in the box will be included. Our 2017 farm plan includes 7 kinds of lettuce, multiple kinds of fresh greens, 8-10 varieties of tomato, 5 varieties of cucumber, 3 varieties of potatoes, 8-12 varieties of winter squash, 6 varieties of onion, 6 varieties of radish, 4 varieties of carrots, 3 varieties of cauliflower, 3 varieties broccoli, 5-7 varieties of apples, 4 varieties of peas, 6 varieties of garlic, 5 varieties of sweet pepper, 4 varieties hot pepper, 3 varieties of turnips, 5 varieties of beet, two varieties of parsley, ground cherries and sunchokes, winter roots, and a fresh herb (culinary or medicinal) in ever box, in addition to medley of a mixed patchwork of additional vegetable and fruit as they emerge during the season. A few boxes will contain outsourced fruits or vegetables from our North Circle sustainable farmers (berries and corn).

What you get
A FULL SARE CSA BOX will be delivered from mid-June to mid-October to a drop site near you on Thursday evenings (North Branch area sites) or Friday mornings (in the Twin Cities metro area). Those picking up their CSAs at the Amador Hill Farm Location will be able to arrive after 4:30pm on Thursdays each week.
Each box is harvested by our farm manager Jacquelyn Zita, and our local farmhands whose volunteer hours are priceless. Each week you will know who is handling your produce and we take great pride in being able to provide FRESH ORGANIC produce each week to our shareholders.
