What’s a red ball? Do I need a gown or a tux? Nope, not that kind of BALL!
RED BALLS are an essential pest management tool for our organic apple orchard on Amador Hill Farm. Red Balls are coated in a sticky substance designed to trap apple maggots before they get to our delicious prized apples! Every spring we must clean these sticky, messy balls and prepare them for the upcoming orchard season. This is a big and dirty job that we turn into a party on the farm! This is a free community event, open to all, but space is limited so you must RSVP.
