The Herbal Apprentice: From Self Care to Community

Study foundations in natural and botanical medicine, history , philosophy and practices in Herbalism, herbs for the life cycle, top herbs in North America, botanicals for contemporary life stressors, anxiety, depression, and herbal home apothecaries. You will learn from Gigi Stafne MH, ND the Executive Director of Green Wisdom School of Natural and Botanical Medicine.
Registration fee includes a take away of handcrafted reparations including teas, tinctures, lotions, oils and flower essences.

- Make-n-take component: create your own herbal products to bring home
This class is a required course for students pursuing a WEI Certificate in Herbalism and Environmental Health. You can also register for this class without participating in WEI’s Certificate Program.

Gigi Stafne MH, ND, MI; Green Wisdom School of Natural and Botanical Medicine
Gigi Stafne MH, ND is an enthusiastic educator, activist and writer in the health justice and natural medicine fields. She is Director of the Green Wisdom School of Natural & Botanical Medicine and former Executive Director of Herbalists Without Borders International. Earth ethics, ecology, sustainability and environmental health are woven into every level of her organizing and teaching for the past 30+ years.
A limited number of overnight accommodations are available in WEI’s Eco-Retreat Center on a first-come-first-serve basis upon registration for $25 / person / night. Sleeping quarters are in private rooms or are in shared rooms. Please be prepared to share a room with other students. Room assignments will be sent to those who reserved space, in an email a few days prior to your class.
*A limited number of camp sites are also available free of charge, also on a first-come-first-serve basis upon registration. You must bring your own camping gear; campers will have access to the Eco-Retreat Center kitchen and showers.
