Making Cold Process Soaps

Full Course Description:

Join us as we take the mystery out of soap making. You’ll learn how to safely work with lye and essential oils to make beautiful bars of moisturizing soap. We’ll discuss different methods of soap making and how all soap is made with lye as we make a batch of soap. You’ll go home with a bar of handmade soap, as well as a recipe and list of resources for you to continue exploring at home. Optionally, also join us in the morning for a separate session where we’ll be making the hydrosols and essential oils that we’ll use in the afternoon.  Please be sure to register in advance for both sessions, and bring a lunch!

Instructor Bio:  Marisa has been working with herbs for the past 15 years. She completed the herbology program at St. Kate’s, and then ran an herbal CSA for 4 years. She loves exploring how to include herbs in everyday life.
