• A Certificate Class at the Women’s Environmental Institute

    To apply for WEI’s Organic Farming 101, PROVIDE THOUGHTFUL ANSWERS to these open-ended questions. Some answers can be short; others more extensive. Before submitting your application, attach a copy of your current work resumé or CV in the space provided at the end of the application. Click SUBMIT when you are ready to send your completed application to WEI. We will notify you to let you know we have received your application. We will also notify you If we need to set up an in-person interview or a conference call for applicants not located in our region. Up to six students may be admitted to this certificate class. The application process will stay open until we have students who are qualified and registered. Once the class is filled, we will notify all applicants that the class is closed. Early applications will have an advantage.

    Tuition is $2,500 for Session One (new start date June 1-August 28) Students successfully graduating from Session One will be eligible for hire at trainee rates as a member of the Amador Hill Farm Crew in Session two (Sept 13 - October 30). Application for partial scholarships available.

  • There are two residential cats that live at WEI’s EcoRetreat Center. Are you allergic to cats? This may be too difficult to manage. We are a smoke-free and drug-free farm campus. Are you able to live with this? We have one residential dog that lives with the farm manager next door to the Eco-Retreat Center. It takes a village to live with her – are you up for this. Are you allergic to bee stings? Do you have special dietary needs or preferences, eg. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, other? If you are vegan or vegetarian, can you be with others eating or cooking meat? Anything else we should know about you?
