The Women’s Environmental Institute is seeking a person to fill a part-time position to coordinate and manage WEI’s social media communications and marketing strategies, event and class schedule postings and final production of annual publications. The job includes maintaining social media communications with WEI co-workers, constituents, and relevant community organization, providing weekly social media communications on WEI contact lists, maintaining and updating WEI contact lists, developing effective social media marketing strategies, organizing and posting (consistently across different platforms) event and class information, maintaining our credit card payment platform, and assisting with production and final layout of end-of-year reports and publications. 20 hours per week (plus extra hours for annual publications)..

• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Experience working with WordPress, social media platforms, website editing, facebook and Instagram, online credit card platforms and Microsoft Office
•Experience working on final layout and production of official reports and and annual publications
• Commitment to WEI’s mission of farming, food and environmental justice
• Able to work across cultural and racial differences
• Able to meet in person with WEI staff and supervisor at least once per
week at WEI’s EcoRetreat Center near North Branch
• Able to work independently with supervisor’s guidance

• Local resident in East Central MN
• Experience working for a small nonprofit
• Knowledge of organic farming practices
• Honest work ethic, patience and positive attitude
